She had zero reason and just DID NOT THINK. Persephone is mind-blowingly ignorant and clueless and I just couldn’t understand any of her actions or decisions she made. I feel like the problem is that it lures you in with the premise of an unique and creative modern day retelling of Persephone and Hades (which sounds amazing btw if there actually is a good version of this please let me know) but it really just is a cliche billionaire romance with Greek god characters.Įverything that I deeply deeply disliked: Characters are also just fine and the vocal performance was average to say the best.I’m very sad to say I’m pretty disappointed with this book. This is an OK book as far as the story of this book is concerned. It required that Persephone should create life within the Underworld or otherwise just completely lose her freedom for good. All of his many favorite bets were assumed to be impossible, to say the least.Īfter having a chance encounter with Hades, Persephone discovered herself in close contact with the mighty God of the Dead. The God of the Dead, Hades was the one who built a big gambling empire in the mortal world. After relocating to New Athens, she was hoping a lot to lead over some unassuming life that would be best disguised as that of a corporeal journalist. The truth since the time of her childhood is that the flowers have shrunken at her touch.
Persephone for Spring was the Goddess but only by title. She was good with the female voices but her voices for all male characters sounded the same. The audio narration of the book is done by Meg Sylvan. From the same series, you will love to experience her A Touch of Ruin as well. Apart from the subject book, A Touch of Malice from the same series is a very good book by the author. She is an exceptional author with many successful series to her name.
